Playstation 2 Specs

The PlayStation2 is capable of playing two media formats,
CDs (650 MBs), and DVDs, the latter of which can hold 3.2 gigabytes,
or if dual layered, 6.4 gigabytes. This means that games that
took up 4 discs worth of CDs now can be fit on 1 DVD disc. This
saves money and also means game makers can put more into the
games. Including more detail, better sounds, longer full motion
videos and other extras that CDs just couldn't do.
The PS2 is also backwards compatable. This means it is able
to play Playstation 1 games. So for all of you that spent hundreds
of dollars on games for the original can still play them on the
sequal.
Whats more is that the PS2 can play DVDs. So when you ask
your mom for one you can just say, "You're buying yourself
a $200 DVD player and me a $100 game system.
